February 2007 RTTY Contesting Survey Results

Here are the results on the 2007 RTTY Contesting Survey.  Many thanks to all 857 RTTY contesters who participated.  The survey consisted of four questions.  They were:

  • What RTTY software or program do you use for RTTY Contesting?

    • The available options to choose from were:

      • WriteLog (includes use with MMTTY engine)

      • N1MM Loggers (includes use with MMTTY engine)

      • RCKRtty or RCKLog

      • MixW

      • MTTY (Stand-alone program)

      • Other

  • Do you use the same program for RTTY Contesting and every day RTTY operation?

    • The available options to choose from were:

      • Yes

      • No

  • What type of RTTY TU do you use for RTTY Contesting?

    • The available options to choose from were:

      • Soundcard (such as MMTTY, etc.)

      • External TU (such as HAL DXP38, PK-232, KAM, etc.)

      • Both (such as Dual Receive or SO2R setup)

  • Do you operate SO1R or SO2R during RTTY contests?

    • The available options to choose from were:

      • SO1R (single operator, one radio)

      • SO2R (single operator, two radios)
